Enforcement Agencies

• U. S. NATIONAL CENTRAL BUREAU of INTERPOL

• FBI Art Theft Program
  • The FBI's Art Crime Team of 12 Special Agents investigate stolen art claims
  • They also run the National Stolen Art File (NSAF), according to their website: "a computerized index of stolen art and cultural property as reported to the FBI by law enforcement agencies throughout the United States and the world." (4)

• The Art and Antiques Unit of Scotland Yard is one of the world's leading centers of antiquities verification and policing

• The Maine Antique Digest runs police reports of stolen art in the US and foreign countries
