This chronology works in layers, designed to facilitate the learning experience through the visual display of event chronology. At the most basic level, readers can see events over time and experience the ebb and flow of mass movement activity. More advanced researchers can distinguish between international, national, state/regional and local mass movement activities, and go deeper into the second and third tiers by entering an event first for a brief explanation and then to access additional sources and links.
