In 2012, Jesse McGleughlin '14 directed BRYTE Summer Camp, a 6-week academic enrichment day camp for newly arrived refugees who have resettled in Providence. At BRYTE Camp, Jesse met Mechack, a former camper and Burundian refugee. Mechack was working as a counselor at camp, and he has continued to do so since. In this story, Jesse interviews Mechack about his experiences at camp and the impact camp had on him. 

Update: This spring, Mechack was asked to be on the administrative staff of BRYTE Camp in a coordinating role. He said yes!
