The Graduate School awarded 205 doctoral and 491 master's degrees Sunday on Simmons Quad. The full Commencement program, including the names of all degree recipients, is available online. The webcast of the procession and ceremony can also be viewed online.
Highlights of the program included student speaker, Benjamin Raymond '13 MAT on “Pride, Considered.”
Karen L. King '84 Ph.D. was also awarded the Horace Mann Medal at the ceremony.
Four PhD students, Jennifer R. Davis, Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology, Benjamin Raphael Teitelbaum, Ethnomusicology, Michael M. H. Luk, Physics, and Susan Helen Ellison, Anthropology, were all awarded the Joukowsky Family Foundation Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Janet Peters recieved the Wilson-DeBlois Award, which is given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to graduate students and the Graduate School.
