Job Market Candidates

  • Kevin joined the HSR program as a doctoral student in 2017. His work focuses on the quality and equity of care delivered to marginalized populations. He is specifically interested in the roles of Medicaid policy and care delivery reform on improving patient experience in the health care safety net.

  • Shekinah joined Brown’s HSR program as a doctoral student in 2017 and has received numerous awards to support her research including the Brown University Diversity Fellowship, the National Institute on Aging (R36) Dissertation Award and the Nora Kahn Piore Award. Her dissertation work is funded by the NIH National Institute on Aging. 

  • Rebecca joined Brown’s HSR program as a doctoral student in 2016. Her work broadly examines how people with chronic disease navigate the health care system. In particular, her research explores factors that influence quality of care and health outcomes and perpetuate health inequities.
