Congratulations to HSR PhD student Catherine Ettman, first author on important study published in JAMA Network Open about depression during the Covid-19 pandemic. After a population-level trauma—like a pandemic or natural disaster—researchers expect a rise in depression, but the mental health toll of #COVID seems far greater than prior mass traumas.
Excited to see our incoming cohort at our first-ever virtual orientation! Moderated by, among others, third-year HSR PhD student Kat Thompson, five of the six members of the 2020 cohort are shown here. Not pictured, Andrew Huang. Read more about this accomplished group of scholars!
