Scott Frickel, CEC Leader, and Tom Marlow, Trainee, in collaboration with Jim Elliott, were awarded academic research access to First Street Foundation's Flood Factor Database.

Their project will integrate historical industrial site data in six cities with parcel-level flood data to assess neighborhood social vulnerability to flood risk and industrial sites. They plan to use this as pilot data for a larger project that will aim to recruit engineers and hydrologists to model flooding and study chemical fate, transport, and exposure.
