About University Auxiliary Housing

The University Auxiliary Housing Office is here to provide assistance with various housing options, resources and services. Whether you are relocating to Rhode Island, are visiting the University on a short-term basis, or live in the area and are looking for resources to support a housing search, this web site is a good starting point.

Short-term Accommodations (Visiting Scholar Housing)

Whether you are new faculty or staff relocating to Rhode Island, or a university guest, the Office of Auxiliary Housing can provide you with short-term housing conveniently located on or near campus. Please view the Visiting Scholar Housing section of this website for details and reservation information. The Director of Auxiliary Housing is also available to assist incoming faculty and staff by identifying resources available to them through the University.

Brown Students Moving Off-Campus

Graduate students and undergraduates with off-campus permission seeking housing in the neighborhoods surrounding Brown will find these sections of our website useful:

First-year graduate students are offered a limited number of efficiency, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments located on campus. Further information and application forms are available on by using the First-Year Graduate Student Housing to the left.
