Brown’s Program in Early Cultures brings together all those at Brown who are interested in the cultures, religions and histories of ancient civilizations.
The faculty involved in Early Cultures number more than forty, and graduate students in the relevant units number more than sixty. We have a vibrant, dynamic and productive community, well supported by Brown’s excellent libraries and collections.
Brown University's strength in the study of global antiquity lies not only in the concentration and excellence of our faculty, but also in the resources available for faculty and students to use in research and further exploration.
