Erica Haskell wins faculty fellowship at Tougaloo College
Ethnomusicologist Erica Haskell will be in residence at Tougaloo College (Jackson, MS) as a Brown-Tougaloo Faculty Fellow in the fall of 2009. She will be teaching two courses at Tougaloo, a music appreciation course as well as a seminar in world music focusing on the topic of music and resistance.
A brief description of the Brown Tougaloo Fellows Program:
In keeping with the long relationship between Tougaloo and Brown, the purpose of the program is to: 1)support the Brown-Tougaloo Partnership through participation as a Fellow, 2) develop competency in undergraduate teaching, 3) experience a different academic and cultural community, and 4) contribute to the core curriculum at Tougaloo College.
