On January 20, 2006 a brand new Steinway D grand piano took up residence in Sayles Hall. The project to replace our one-hundred-year-old grand began
four years ago, culminating with a gift from an anonymous donor in fall 2005. Soon after the donation, Katherine Bergeron, Arlene Cole and Jen Vieira
journeyed to the Steinway factory to choose Brown's piano from among five candidates. Below you can see some photos of the piano's journey and unveiling.
