RUTH ANDRIEN/
RUTH ANDRIEN, Director of Repertory Etudes Workshops for The American
Dance Legacy Institute, was a principal dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance
Company from 1974-1983 and is on the faculty of the University of the Arts
in Philadephia, PA. She has distinguished herself as one of the premiere
restagers of Mr. Taylor's works and because of her attention to style and
nuance, she is also in sought by other choreographers to coach their work.
She has worked with The American Dance Legacy Institute, over the past
five years in the development of the Repertory Etudes methodology and
worked closely with Donald McKayle on his Repertory Etude as a researcher,
dancer, and coach. She is currently working with Sophie Maslow and
Katherine Dunham on their Repertory Etudes.
