Allocation of Houses
To ensure that this program supports the Brown's primary academic goals and the needs of the University, a flexible process for allocation is necessary. Allocations will be made based on the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty and the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences.
If more than one person expresses interest in the same property, priority will be given to those individuals for whom living close to campus has special value.
For houses that are eligible for an initial renovation credit, the planned scope, quality and timing of the renovation will be taken into consideration in the allocation process. Priority will be given to participants who have the ability and resources to expeditiously renovate these homes in a manner that yields market value and long term viability for the program.
