Travel Safety

  Keeping yourself safe while traveling- whether by plane, train, or automobile- with these simple tips:
  • Leave copies of your travel itinerary and important documents (such as ID, passport, or traveler’s checks) with a family member.
  • Carry a fully charged cell phone in case of an emergency.
  • Check your car’s tires and fluids.
  • Wait near other travelers.
  • Stay in well-lit areas.
  • Check as much baggage as possible to keep your hands free.
  • Beware of your surroundings. If you feel you are being followed or harassed, go the nearest occupied building or employee and ask for help.

Celebrate National Women’s Health Week by taking small steps to improve your health.

  • Access regular medical care.
  • Feed yourself well and get regular exercise.
  • Avoid risky behaviors, like smoking, unprotected sex, or not wearing a seatbelt.

Beyond the Birds and the Bees
