Brown students can make appointments for confidential care and support with BWell Health Promotion staff on a range of health issues. All Health Promotion services are available at no charge to Brown students. You can request an appointment by filling out the form linked below, or by emailing [email protected].
Appointments can be scheduled based on the areas below:
- SHARE (Sexual Harm Acute Response and Empowerment) Advocates - Confidential advocacy-based counseling for healing, accommodations and accountability options regarding sexual, gender and relationship harm. For immediate response to a crisis, please call the Sexual Assault Response Line at 401-863-6000 to speak to a counselor at anytime. If you have recently experienced a concerning sexual encounter, please visit our First Five Days page.
- Substance Use (Alcohol & Other Drugs) - Confidential appointments where a Health Educator and the student collaborate to develop a schema about the effects of their substance use. These conversations can be a powerful tool in helping to make informed decisions, reduce harm, prevent relapse or connect with additional resources.
- Sexual Health - Confidential educational opportunities to discuss questions and concerns related to sexual health, partner communication, safer sex, or related topics, and to get information and referrals. These are not medical appointments. For medical advice, you can call Brown nursing at 401-863-1330. For medical appointments at Health Services, including STI testing and contraception, please call 401-863-3953.
