WelcomeWe've Moved! We are now located on the 5th floor of
J. Walter Wilson on the corner of Brown and Waterman streets. Come
see us in our new space! Students from all of the diverse backgrounds represented in the Brown community make use of our services. They come to us during times of crisis and high stress, when their usual coping mechanisms are not working well, or when they are faced with making difficult decisions. They may be having problems relating to friends, roommates or family; struggling academically; having difficulty declaring a concentration; or feeling anxious or depressed. Our staff has many years of experience in dealing with a broad range of problems. We provide crisis intervention, short-term psychotherapy, and referral services. We offer consultation to students, faculty and staff who are concerned about the well-being of students. Our appointments are free of charge, our contacts with students are confidential, and we are available when classes are in session. Please contact our office by phone or come in person to Psychological Services. We don't recommend your trying to contact us by e-mail because we then cannot adequately protect your privacy. If you have a psychiatric emergency, crisis support is available 24 hours a day during the school year, (and M-F, 8am-4pm during summer months), through our on-call system at 863-3476.
