Welcome to Family Weekend!  

Friday, October 24 , 2-4 p.m. - Family Weekend Open House.  Stop by the Office of International Programs, J. Walter Wilson, Suite 420, to meet the OIP staff and peer advisors and discover the numerous overseas opportunities for studying abroad through Brown University. Light refreshments will be served. 

Saturday, October 25,  12:30 p.m.-  Internationalizing the Undergraduate Experience.  Join Brown returned study abroad students as they present their experiences. Staff from the Office of International Programs will be on-hand to answer questions regarding study abroad opportunities through Brown. List Art Center, Room 120, 64 College Street.

Application deadlines for spring semester programs are coming up soon! 

Reminder - Brown students who are applying to an Approved Alternative or Petition program must complete both an OIP electronic application and the application for the program provider, whose deadlines may differ from the OIP application deadlines. Please refer to the program provider website for information about their application deadlines.

Scholarship Information and Deadlines

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a fully-funded overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students. With the goal of broadening the base of Americans studying and mastering critical languages and building relationships between the people of the United States and other countries

Applications for the 2015-2016 David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships are now available. Boren Awards provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study in Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East, where they can add important international and language components to their educations. The application is February 4, 2015., CLS provides study opportunities to a diverse range of students from across the United States at every level of language learning. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 12.
