The nine-month internship, which runs concurrently with the academic year at Brown, is a key feature of the program, integrating research and theory with hands-on experience as another way to merge the world of policy practice with theory and research.

Some internships will be provided by the partners in the program: the Education Department, the Annenberg InstituteThe Education Alliance, and the Taubman Center.

A suggestive and partial list of other organizations and offices that could provide interesting internship possibilities include:

The Providence Mayor's Office
The Providence Public School District's Central Office
The Rhode Island Foundation
The Big Picture Company
The College Crusade of Rhode Island
Rhode Island Kids Count
