The main office of the Modern Culture and Media Department is located at 155 George Street, between Brook and Thayer Streets. This location hosts the offices of many departmental faculty, a graduate student lounge and work spaces, seminar room and viewing stations.
135 Thayer Street (Locked Building - need to be granted access)
The 135 Thayer Street building houses two production studios and their requisite equipment: film and video cameras, sound recording decks, light kits, etc. Also located there is an editing suite equipped with Final Cut Pro 5, ProTools LE, After Effects, DVD Studio Pro, Photoshop, etc. Within the editing suit is a sound room with ProTools HD. The second floor also provides a cine-transfer station and a screening/seminar room.
Caveat autocinetistes! ("Let the driver beware") Parking is at a premium around campus. Although those arriving after business hours should have little difficulty parking within a few blocks of 155 George Street, visitors are encouraged to allow enough time to find parking. The streets nearest to the Department of Modern Culture and Media offer on-street metered parking. Demand is high for these spaces. Meters accept quarters only and are limited to two hours.
