ETC Teaching Lab, CIT 201
Faculty can experiment with collaborative and active teaching approaches in an environment supported by Academic Technology staff. The room is equipped with technology available in some of Brown's mediated classrooms and serves as a place for faculty to try out new technologies or group assignments before fully incorporating them into the regular class curriculum.
The Teaching lab is available for faculty to use upon consultation with Academic Technology staff. Priority will be given to those who need to use the specific technology or furniture available in the room for instructional purposes and dependent on staffing available to oversee the management of the space.
ETC Collaboration Studio, CIT 205
Academic Technology staff work independently and with faculty individually or in groups, face-to-face or via email, phone, chat or web-conferencing to solve pedagogical challenges with technological solutions and to develop instructional projects. Consultations must be scheduled in advance.
ETC Audio Booth, CIT 205A
Specialized acoustic equipment is available for Academic Technology staff to support faculty in the production of high quality audio content for instructional use (podcasts, course content).
The ETC Audio Booth is reserved for recording for instructional purposes with permission of Academic Technology staff. Priority will be given to instructors working on an active AT project (for example a project accepted via the AMP program). Students who have been assigned an audio project by an instructor working on a project in collaboration with Academic Technology may also schedule a recording time.
ETC Development Studio, CIT 209
Academic Technology staff work independently and with faculty to develop instructional projects requiring multimedia development. This space is also designed to allow for video production and experimenting with collaborative multimedia instructional approaches such as gaming and augmented reality. Consultations must be scheduled in advance.
ETC Video Conferencing Classroom, CIT 210
Instructors can hold class sessions where equipment for film screening or videoconferencing is required. The room is equipped with (link to descriptions and photos of equipment).
