The Technology Ventures Office (TVO) works with faculty to commercialize inventions created from research at Brown. We aim to generate revenue for inventors, the research enterprise, and the University.

Brown's TVO strives to achieve these goals by fostering strategic collaborations with industry through licensing, sponsored research, and launching of new ventures.

Our group identifies sources of intellectual property; plans strategies for commercialization; locates suitable commercial partners; and negotiates license and commercialization agreements. We also seek research partnerships with industry and negotiate agreements that cover industry-supported funding.
