This was my initial Proposal.
The Project.
i. A History of Explosives: Chronology – A look at the history of gunpowder and explosives.
ii. Explosives and the World they Made/Destroyed – How bombs have changed the world.
iii. Issues of Morality and Violence – Cluster bombs, unspecified/unintentional targets, and IEDs.
iv. Unpacking the bomb – A discussion of ideas, themes, and the evolution of technology.
The hands on approach.
“I do not believe that civilization will be wiped out in a war fought with the atomic bomb. Perhaps two-thirds of the people of the earth will be killed.” – Albert Einstein, on the threat of an atomic bomb.
“My God, what have we done?” – Robert Lewis, on board the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
[] – John McCain's hit, "Bomb Iran."
A brief bibliography of the background information, research, and philosophy that was utilized.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
