The capacity for magnification created a new visual culture around the microscopic; the tools of magnification allowed an Externalization of Vision which was readily employed in science, as explained in Vision in Science. The Magnifying Glass, Optical Constancy and Mobility examines the magnifying glass as an objective tool which changes the relationship of the observer with an object.
