William Fuld is often credited with the invention of the Ouija board, but he simply bought Bond's patent and began to monopolize Ouija Sales. He founded the Southern Novelty Company in Baltimore, Maryland but eventually renamed it the Baltimore Talking Board Company. He made this decision based on advice given to him from a Ouija board. By 1920 William Fuld had made $1 million in sales from the Ouija board. (Horrowitz, 72)
