Community & Support

The Office of Global Engagement is pleased to announce Global Brown Community & Support (GBCS). GBCS is Brown’s "one-stop" global referral system designed to help international students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus in addressing their needs. June Drinkwater, Global Brown's Program Manager is your Community & Support contact person and is eager to address your questions as quickly as possible whether it is by guiding you through the passport registration process, directing you to the correct office at Brown, connecting you with peers, or providing you with support materials. Additionally, June manages the Global Brown International Visitors Program and is available to field questions, provide support to visitors engaged in study or research on campus, departmental sponsors and affiliates, as well as, partnering institutions interested in sending visitors to Brown. Prior to joining Global Brown, currently in her 11th year at Brown, June worked in Student Support Services supporting students during medical, mental health and personal crisis. Currently completing a degree in Anthroplogy, June brings experience from living in Southeast Asia, speaking Chinese and a deep commitment to supporting the student and scholar experience.
