The Chemistry Department is located in the Geology-Chemistry Research Building ("GeoChem"), housing both the Departments of Chemistry and Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences. The Chemistry Department facilities include fully equipped research laboratories, dedicated laboratories for NMR and Mass Spectrometry, radioisotope use, fully staffed chemistry stockroom, machine shop, and an electronics workshop, as well as classrooms and office space.

W. Duncan MacMillan Hall, directly attached to the GeoChem research facility, houses state-of-the-art teaching labs for chemistry, geology, and environmental sciences, as well as two lecture auditoriums.
