About Reflecting on Success
During the 2016-2017 year, the CRC staffers will begin facilitating workshops about how best to set personal goals and take advantage of the Open Curriculum.
In the past, Reflecting on Success (RoS) was organized by members of the Dean of the College Office and the Center for Careers and Life After Brown. RoS workshops included hour-long discussions throughout the year tailored for specific groups of students (e.g., sophomores or juniors, students from immigrant backgrounds, student group leaders) and a three-day seminar for graduating seniors.
“I so appreciated this seminar. It was such a welcome respite from the pressures of my final semester, and it helped keep things in perspective (something especially difficult when short-term deadlines are so all-consuming). The discussion [about] defining success was particularly helpful, and got me to think critically and differently about the opportunities I allow myself to pursue. Thanks!”
