Description
The Keasbey Memorial Foundation awards Keasbey Scholarships to seniors of great academic and personal promise to support one or two years of graduate study at either Oxford, Cambridge, or the University of Edinburgh. Brown University is one of a select group of US universities invited on a rotating basis, once every three years, to nominate two candidates to the national competition.
Eligibility
Graduating seniors who are U.S. citizens and will matriculate by Spring 2024 are eligible to apply for nomination for this award. The criteria for selection as a Keasbey Scholar include academic excellence, active participation in extracurricular activities, leadership abilities, and personal promise.
All nominees for a Keasbey Scholarship must have applied to their proposed program of postgraduate study prior to December 1, 2023. Nominees will be invited to virtual interviews with Trustees of the Keasbey Foundation on December 8, 2023.
Benefits
The Keasbey Scholarship award consists of a direct payment to the British institution involved to cover tuition and other fixed charges, as well as a cost of living stipend paid to the Scholar to cover travel between the United States and Great Britain, board, lodging, and general subsistence.
