Emily's Experience Abroad

Q: Favorite food/recipe abroad?  
A: Paella!

Q: Describe something that surprised you while you were abroad:
A: Even though I only really spoke Spanish, by the end I could understand Catalan too! I never thought I’d learn so much about a new language!

Q: Something you wish you had known before going abroad: 
A: Plan time to travel; this is a unique opportunity not only to get to know Barcelona, but to see other places in Europe too.

Q: Highlight from abroad?

A: Hiking Montserrat, a huge mountain outside of Barcelona with incredibly cool and beautiful rock formations.

Q: Advice for students who are planning to study abroad:
A: Immerse yourself as much as you can! Try to get out of your comfort zone and make local friends and try off-the-beaten-path activities. You’ll surprise yourself with what you find!
