"Microevolution in heterozygous diploid genomes of the fungal pathogen Candida albicans"
My talk will focus on understanding how heterozygous diploid genomes evolve and adapt during short evolutionary timescales, using the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans as a model system.
I will discuss the spectrum of genomic and phenotypic differences arising both during in vitro passage and during in vivo infection of a mammalian host.
