Executive Programs offer advanced study to mid-career professionals in diverse fields, in alignment with Brown's mission to develop reflective leaders, to effect change in the world, and to improve human welfare. Combining online instruction with intensive residential sessions, these timely, relevant, interdisciplinary programs prepare leaders to meet their most pressing professional challenges, to transform their organizations, and to have a significant impact in their fields.
Undergraduate Online Courses take place during the academic year, Summer Session, and Wintersession. Fully online, asynchronous study allows students the flexibility to participate in coursework any time, whenever is convenient for you -- and from wherever you may be in the world -- in support of the projects, work, fellowships, or experiences away from Brown's campus in which you may be engaged. To find an undergraduate online course, go to Courses@Brown and select "Online Only" from the "In Person and Online" drop-down menu in the advanced search.
Pre-College Online Courses are rigorous, active learning experiences designed specifically for high school students and led by Brown instructors.
Open Online Courses engage learners from around the world in deepening their understanding of the liberal arts and sciences, and provide a window into Brown's distinctive learning environment. The BrownX initiative was launched in May 2017 to share Brown’s depth, breadth, and diversity in research, teaching, and learning with students around the globe. (This initiative follows previous open offerings in partnership with Coursera, launched in 2014.) Brown's Pre-College Program has offered Exploring Engineering, a free, open, online course designed for pre-college students, since 2013; almost 7,500 students have participated.
