Prof. Kraft's Paper Cited by Nobel Prize Committee

October 27, 2017

The Committee for the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel has cited in their scientific background a paper by Professor Matt Kraft, "The Underutilized Potential of Teacher-to-Parent Communication: Evidence from a Field Experiment" (published in Economics of Education Review) for their decision to award the Nobel prize in economics to Richard Thaler. Thaler is considered a pioneer of behavioral economics and is best known for his "nudge" theory, which has influenced politicians and policymakers.
