Mark Aloia presentation on Bridging Academia and Industry to Change Health Behaviors

Mark Aloia will be presenting in room 245 (121 South Main St) on 11/17 at 4pm on Bridging Academia and Industry to Change Health Behaviors. He started his career at Brown before moving to National Jewish where he is an Associate Professor. In addition to having NIH grants, he serves as the Sr. Director of Global Clinical Research for Philips Healthcare. He will talk on his experiences bridging academia and industry in the area of mHealth before leading an open-ended discussion about how academic-industry partnerships can develop.

Allan Stern on Using Messaging Technology

Researchers and clinicians are increasingly using automated methods of communicating with participants and patients between visits using messaging technology.  There is growing interest among researchers in software that provides personalized, modifiable, and inexpensive messaging.

The Departments of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Biostatistics will be holding a joint 5th-year Open House on Friday 11/20, 4:30-6:00 pm in the School of Public Health, 121 South Main St. Room 247. This event is for current Brown undergraduates interested in learning about completing a Master's degree in only one year.Faculty, staff, current students, and alumni will be on hand to answer your questions. All current Brown undergrads are welcome! Pizza will be provided.
