The Department of Biostatistics, of Brown’s School of Public Health, held a unique Kick-Off Celebration on Friday, September 3rd. During our in-person kick-off of the 2021-22 Academic Year, we recognized:

7 incoming PhD students – our largest incoming doctoral class! -- 19 returning PhD students and candidates -- 21 incoming Master’s students -- 14 returning 2nd-year Master’s students -- And 10 Undergraduate Statistical Concentrators

In addition, the Department welcomed two of our newest faculty members, Assistant Professor Arman Oganisian and Manning Assistant Professor Youjin Lee. This brings the Department’s total complement of faculty to 16 and an additional 3 who have joined the Department with secondary appointments.

We are excited for this new academic year and welcome our 61 graduate students and current contingent of undergraduate concentrators, as well as all of our faculty and staff!  We are looking forward to an engaging and energized 2021-22 academic year!  More pictures can be accessed here.
