Public Health Research Day is an annual conference hosted by Brown University’s School of Public Health that highlights the research accomplishments of our students, trainees, and partners across campus. One of several events held to commemorate National Public Health Week, April 1-7, 2019, the poster session encourages interaction among members of the greater Brown community and external partners. After the Conference, an awards ceremony acknowledges winners in three categories: Best Undergraduate Poster, Best Master's Poster, Best Doctoral or Post-doctoral Trainee Poster. The poster session will begin at 1:30 pm and the awards committee will begin reviewing posters at that time. Visitors are encouraged to discuss posters with students, fellows, staff, faculty, and affiliates. We anticipate there being approximately 90 posters.

Submit an Abstract

If you would like to present a poster at Public Health Research Day, please complete the online submission form AND email an abstract to public_health@brown.edu by Friday March 1. Submitted abstracts should total no more than 500 words and include: author/s' name, poster title, background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

Participants must submit their completed posters for printing by Friday March 22.  Please find information on poster printing and accessing the School of Public Health poster template.

On Research Day, please deliver your poster to Alumnae Hall prior to the start of the poster session, and plan to remain with your poster for about 2 hours, responding to questions from judges and interested observers.

Health data abstract posters, describing existing data sets available for analysis, are also encouraged.
