The E&E Office is working towards a more robust e-waste collection and disposal program. Currently, the following items can be recycled.
Batteries, lab waste, and mercury-containing devices and lamps
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) manages the hazardous Waste on campus. This waste includes: batteries, lab waste, and mercury-containing devices and lamps. Please contact EH&S, at 401-863-3353, concerning the disposal/recycling of the items.
Light Bulbs, Refrigerators, TV’s, Computers, Mattresses, and other odd items
On-Campus Students and Staff and Faculty: Please place a work order through Service Response. Off-Campus Students: Please contact Auxiliary Housing, Residential Life, or your respective landlord.
Toners and Ink Cartridges
Toners and cartridges can either be reused or recycled depending on the product. If you do not have a vendor-based service for your toner and ink replacement you can order a free ink and toner recycling kit (postage paid) from Office Depot/Max here. If you have a vendor that services your printer/copier unit please contact them directly.
