Ghana-Brown Partnership to Address HIV/AIDS

Objective 1: Curriculum Development

Improve academic programs in HIV/AIDS resulting in pre-service training for a skilled multidisciplinary workforce responsive to HIV/AIDS treatment, and prevention strategies in Ghana.


• Curriculum needs assessment created, and curriculum review committee charged with completing curriculum for four schools under College of Health Sciences by June 2012.
• Six UG students engaged in community attachments in 3 district HIV treatment centers, impacting HIV/AIDS stigma for Most at Risk Persons (MARPs).
• A master-plan for TUSK (Tufts University Science Knowledgebase) implementation created, including staff training in TUSK management. TUSK collaboration with Tufts University will augment UG IT infrastructure & capacity.
