Project Management

Highly trained CRC staff are on-hand to help investigators plan and manage their studies after funding is awarded. The CRC helps investigators scale down the broader aspects of their proposals in order to design and carry out impactful clinical trials and research. 

Services include: 
  • Final sculpting of specific aims and hypotheses
  • Research study development and protocol review
  • Study recruitment and retention 
  • Study coordination
  • Budget management and billing review
IRB & IACUC application and submission assistance

Federal regulations require that all proposals involving human and animal subjects get Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUC) approval, respectively. The committees evaluate each study to ensure that the appropriate steps have been taken to ensure the safety and welfare of the research subjects. 

The CRC provides guidance on:
  • Writing and assembling applications to meet IRB and IACUC standards 
  • Informed consent drafting 
  • Review of final proposals 
Study visit support and FAcilities

The CRC's team of highly skilled, bilingual nursing staff are available to monitor clinical services and collaborate with the medical director and project management staff.

  • Phlebotomy and IV therapy
  • Cognitive testing
  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • Retinal imaging
  • Medication dispensing

Investigators may also access CRC facilities for their clinical trials, including: 
  • Respite room
  • TMS stimulation suite

  • Optical imaging suite
  • Satellite touch-down stations

Specimen collection and processing

The CRC's specimen collection and processing lab serves as a resource for sample processing and shipping to support a broad range of clinical trials. 

A lab manager is also on hand to assist investigators with: 
  • Biorepository sample collection and storage
  • Biohazard substance handling and shipping
  • Genetic specimen collection
