Leah Burgin

Leah Burgin previously assisted the Museum as an Education and Outreach Assistant, helped to organize the student docent group MUSE, and coordinated our "Think Like an Archaeologist" outreach program. Leah has degrees in anthropological archaeology from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and public humanities from Brown University's department of American Studies. Prior to joining our team, she was involved in developing public interpretation and museum education programs for the National Park Service, the National Zoo, the Smithsonian Institution, and the National Building Museum. 

As Manager of Museum Programs and Education, Leah oversees academic opportunities at the Museum for Brown University's faculty and student body; coordinates the Museum's Faculty Fellows program; organizes an active, annual program of lectures and events for the university and the general public; develops the Museum's pre-K-12 outreach and engagement programs; and oversees staff, interns, volunteers, guards/greeters, and student workers to implement those programs.
