Culture CaraVan: Outreach Programs for School and Community Groups

We bring structured group programs right to your school or site through our Culture CaraVan van program. Although CaraVan programs are most popular with K-12 school groups, our experienced educators have successfully adapted these programs for preschool classes, library family programs, retirement and senior centers, summer camps, church groups, and other community groups.

Free standards-based curriculum packets and lesson plans are available for educators to use on their own or as pre-visit activities for groups participating in our Culture CaraVan outreach program.

Think Like an Archaeologist Program

Think Like an Archaeologist is a partnership program between the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology and the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design's Museum of Art, and Providence Public Schools.  All lesson plans and session scripts are available for duplication in your own classroom!
