Semahat Demir, NSF Program Director for Biomedical Engineering, will be on campus on April 16 and will present two lectures. National Science Foundation and Funding Opportunities
Dr. Demir will present the vision, mission, and overview of NSF; NSF's current priority areas; a summary of different NSF funding opportunities; biomedical engineering funding opportunities; and the NSF Merit Review Criteria.
Dr. Demir received her BS degree in electronic engineering from Istanbul Technical University, MS degree in biomedical engineering from Bosphorous University, and a second MS degree and PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from Rice University. She did her postdoctoral training at BioMedical Engineering Department, Johns Hopkins University. |
