About The Deputy Provost
Joseph Meisel works with the Provost to advance the strategic priorities and academic programs of the University. He oversees the the Office of Institutional Research, and the University Registrar. He also oversees a number of academic programs reporting to the Provost's Office, including the Annenberg Institute for School Reform, the Bell Gallery, the John Carter Brown Library, the John Nicholas Brown Center, the Education Alliance, and the Haffenreffer Museum.
He works closely with the Office of the President and other cabinet officers in coordinating the activity of the Provost's Office with these offices to advance Brown's strategic academic priorities. He serves as staff to the Corporation Committee on Academic Affairs and the University Resources Committee.
