Maya Weissman is a fifth year PhD Candidate in Ecology, Evolutionary, and Organismal Biology. She received her B.A. from San Diego State University and her M.S. here at Brown. Maya's research and teaching interests include evolution in changing environments, population genetics theory, and making math and computer science more accessible. Her thesis research is on mathematically modeling the evolution of risk reduction in the face of unpredictable environmental change. Maya has been involved with the Sheridan Center since 2019, during which time she has been a Teaching Consultant twice.
