Tom Bartnikas, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University where he studies the role of metals in human health and disease. Executive Director, MD/PhD Program

Dr. Jonathan Kurtis is Chair of the Department of Pathology Laboratory Medicine and Director of the Lifespan Center for International Health Research. He received his BA, MD, and PhD degrees from Brown University. He completed post-doctoral training in malaria immuno-epidemiology from the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Kisumu, Kenya.
