Benjamin Burke

PGY2

Medical school - Albany Medical College

Ben is from Rexford, New York, a small town in Saratoga County. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Haverford College, where he completed a thesis in bioinorganic chemistry and was involved with the tutoring and TAing programs. He returned to Upstate New York to attend Albany Medical College, where he became interested in neurology after his neuroanatomy labs and small group sessions on lesion localization. He graduated AOA from Albany Medical College, and was thrilled to match to both his Intern Year and Neurology Residency at Brown. Ben is passionate about clinical education and enjoys helping to educate the medical students on the team. He has an open mind about the different neurologic subspecialties and has enjoyed all the different hands-on experiences so far in his PGY2 year. In his spare time, Ben enjoys exploring the Rhode Island coastline, kayaking, reading about history, listening to NPR, cooking, going to museums, seeing new places in New England, and has really enjoyed getting to know all of his co-residents at Brown.
