Medical School (DO, MS) - Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine

Residency - University of Florida

Briana was raised in south Florida and attended the University of Florida, where she majored in Microbiology and Cell Science. She then completed both a master’s in science degree and her medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York.  During medical school, she held a leadership role in the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity and volunteered in a medical student-run program called MedAchieve to promote early medical education for high school students. Briana completed her neurology residency at the University of Florida where she served as chief resident. During her time in residency, she assisted in medical writing endeavors, including an updated chapter on post-cardiac arrest targeted temperature management, as well as presented case reports focused on vascular neurology. She most notably created a standardized brain death simulation for neurology residents to achieve the ACGME milestones, which was presented at multiple conferences. She is excited to now be living in New England for her vascular neurology fellowship. Outside of medicine, Briana enjoys running, traveling, cooking fun recipes with her husband, and spending time with her Boston Terrier, Finn.
