Medical school - Tufts University School of Medicine

Sanaya grew up in Westchester, New York and attended Tufts University where she studied Biology and Art History. After graduating she worked at a public health initiative at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to increase awareness about cardiovascular health in underprivileged communities around Boston. She discovered her love for neurology during her post-graduate research, studying the effects of maternal obesity on offspring neurodevelopment and cognition in a mouse model. From there, Sanaya returned to Tufts for medical school where she volunteered at a free healthcare clinic and helped develop the neuroscience course for MS1 and MS2 students. Outside of the medical world, Sanaya enjoys hiking, ceramics, and tending to her temperamental cat, Percy.
