Please join us at this special convening of students, faculty, staff, alumni, thought leaders and innovators, we will explore how higher education engages in the work of developing and sustaining an increasingly diverse and inclusive academic community. Through plenary panel discussions, workshops, interactive seminars and networking activities, we will engage in critical discussions that consider the broad range of identities, perspectives and experiences (race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, religion, etc.) represented in higher education institutions today, and how relevant research and scholarship informs the work of advancing diversity and inclusion in the academy. The sessions will focus on evidence-based practices which will support Brown's progress on its Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) goals.
