Work continues to expand BrownConnect. Undergraduate Teaching and Research Awards (UTRAs) have been expanded to provide more opportunities for Brown students to collaborate with Brown faculty on research and teaching projects during the summer or the academic year.  Team UTRAs have also been developed to expand team-based learning experiences for undergraduate students with specific outreach to HUG students, first and second year students and women in the STEM fields.  In addition, the Excellence in Research Mentoring Award will be launched this spring 2017 to recognize the contribution of Brown faculty in supporting undergraduate research and to commend, in particular, those who have helped diverse students realize their scholarly potential.
