The Young Scholars Conference aims to provide guidance and support for science graduate students and post-doctoral researchers as they prepare to enter the academic workforce. The 2018 conference was held on October 19th and 20th.
Friday, October 19th

- 12 - 1pm: Lunch & Conference Welcome, Welcoming Address by Marlina Duncan, Associate Dean of Diversity Initiatives and Assistant Vice President for Academic Diversity at the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity
- 1 - 2pm: Keynote with Kaye Tye, Associate Professor at MIT's Picower Institute for Learning and Memory
- 2 - 4pm: Poster Fair
- 4pm: Group Photo
- 4:15 - 6pm: Science Communication Workshop with Sunshine Menezes, Executive Directory of URI's Metcalf Institute for Marine & Environmental Reporting
- 6:30pm: Dinner
Saturday, October 20th
